About the Project

This multi-year project includes repaving as well as some full reconstruction of SR-431 from the roundabout intersection with SR-28 to the Mt. Rose Summit, and along SR-28 from stateline at Crystal Bay to south of Sand Harbor State Park. The project also includes water quality restoration of the Marlette Creek drainage system.

Work is weather permitting and subject to change.
Excludes major holidays and regional events.

Season 2 Schedule

Below is a preliminary schedule for Season 2 work. Locals can expect more activity for the upcoming season. If weather permits, construction could start as early as April 2022.

Drainage improvements at Marlette Creek  to help with water quality and roadway preservation

Installation of underground ITS conduit on SR-28 through the towns of Crystal Bay and Incline Village

Soil nailing to reinforce the aging timber wall along SR-28 south of Memorial Point lookout

Adding 15,000 linear feet of curb and gutter along SR-28 to help prevent erosion and preserve the roadway

Adding 16,000 linear feet of guardrail and new concrete barrier rail along SR-431 to help prevent erosion and enhance safety

Installing new sidewalk, ADA ramps and driveway accesses
