About the Project

This multi-year project includes repaving as well as some full reconstruction of SR 431 from the roundabout intersection with SR 28 to the Mt. Rose Summit, and along SR 28 from stateline at Crystal Bay to south of Sand Harbor State Park. The project also includes water quality restoration of the Marlette Creek drainage system.

Working Hours

Normal working hours:
Sundays 8:00 p.m. - Fridays noon

Early and late season hours:
Sundays 8:00 p.m. - Fridays 7:00 p.m.
Occasional Saturday work possible

Work is weather permitting and subject to change.
Excludes major holidays and regional events.

During this construction season, locals can expect heavy activity on SR 28 and multiple work zones.

SR 28: Guardrail, curb and gutter installation in Crystal Bay

SR 28: Finish milling and repaving the roadway to stateline in Crystal Bay

SR 28: Milling and repaving the roadway from Village Blvd. east to Ponderosa Ranch Rd.

October

SR 28: Complete final layer of paving on SR 28
